My approach to therapy is person-centered, with the goal of creating a compassionate, supportive environment where clients feel free to express themselves without judgment. Within this space, I hope clients can explore their experiences and emotions, develop a deeper understanding of themselves, and foster meaningful, lasting growth.

My work is deeply influenced by existential therapy, and I welcome conversations about grief, anxiety, freedom, responsibility, isolation, and the search for meaning. When appropriate, I also integrate techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to best support each client’s unique needs. Above all, my counseling practice is grounded in a trauma-informed, social justice oriented framework.

I work with clients experiencing a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, major life transitions, identity development, low self-esteem, stress, and feelings of disconnection or overwhelm. I try to bring genuineness, curiosity, and compassion to every session, because meaningful change begins when people feel understood, accepted, and empowered to explore themselves with honesty.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, partner, and my cat, Chopper. Whenever I can, you’ll find me in nature searching for new  waterfalls and swimming holes to explore. I also enjoy thrifting, going to concerts, and finding ways to express myself creatively.

I earned my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Oregon and my master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Puget Sound. I am currently a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (LMHCA) in the state of Washington.

Q&A

Q. Some therapists are more comfortable addressing the immediate problem,  while others want to focus on the deeper issue. Which are you?

Sometimes there are immediate problems that need to be addressed before moving forward, but those things are usually rooted in deeper issues that we can uncover and navigate together when the time is right.

Q. Do you tend to lead the session, or follow my lead?

I believe in taking a collaborative approach with the client. Therapy should be a space where the client has the freedom to discuss whatever is on their mind. However, I might take the lead depending on the situation, or to remind the client of their goals.

Q. What are your strengths as a therapist?

I care deeply about my clients and take pride in creating a warm and compassionate environment for them to show up as their full self free from judgement.

Q. If you had one superpower, what would it be and why?

Teleportation, so I can travel all over without long plane rides.

Q. What makes you laugh?

I try to see the humor in everything, but my friends and my favorite tv shows make me laugh the most!

Q. Who would you have dinner with, dead or alive?

I’d have dinner with Mitski, her music has meant a lot to me throughout many stages of my life. I would love to get more insight into her creative process.
