I am Tina Johnson, LMFTA, and I am dedicated to supporting individuals and families as they navigate life’s challenges. My adult life has largely been devoted to assisting young people and their families, whether through volunteer service, public health, systems work, or school-based roles. I specialize in guiding individuals through stress, relationship complexities, transitions, and emotional well-being.

My aim is to leverage my education, training, and skills to create a safe, supportive environment conducive to meaningful change. Whether you are grappling with mental health struggles, unhelpful communication patterns, self-worth issues, or a general feeling of stagnation, I am here to assist you in gaining clarity and confidence to progress.

I believe in meeting clients where they are, respecting their cultural identities and values and cultivating strong therapeutic relationships that foster healing and growth.

Beyond my professional endeavors, I enjoy a good book, delicious food, engaging conversations with loved ones, playing fetch with my dogs, and cuddling with my cats.

If you are ready to embark on this journey, I would be honored to walk alongside you.

Q&A with Tina

1.) Some therapists are more comfortable addressing the immediate problem, while others want to focus on the deeper issue. Which are you?

I typically meet my clients where they are and move from there. I am comfortable in both spaces.

2.) Do you tend to lead the session, or follow my lead?

I will enter our session with a plan of something I think would be helpful, but am always willing to pivot.

3.) What are your strengths as a therapist?

Building a space for authentic connection and communication.

4.) If you had one superpower, what would it be and why?

Teleportation or super speed – would make travel on the weekends more adventurous!

5.) What makes you laugh?

Goofy animal reels make me laugh pretty heartily.

6.) Who would you have dinner with, dead or alive?

I would have dinner with my mom. She was my best friend and passed away in 2024. We had many foodie adventures and I would love one more.
